Introduction to Numerical Analysis, Solutions of Equations: (Bisection Method, Newton-Raphson Method etc., Error Analysis for Iterative Methods), Interpolation: (Lagrange and Divided Difference Interpolation, Spline Interpolation), Numerical Differentiation: (Difference Formulae, Error Analysis), Numerical Integration: (Trapezoidal and Simpson’s Rule, Error Analysis), Multiple Integration, Initial Value Problems for ODE’s: (Euler’s and Runge-Kutta Methods), Higher Order ODE’s, Error Analysis and Stability, Linear Systems of Equations: (Gauss Elimination, LU factorization), Gauss-Siedal Method, Error Analysis and Convergence.
Eigenvalues: (Inclusion Theorems, Power Method), Boundary Value Problems for ODE’s: (Shooting Method), Numerical Solutions for PDE’s: (Elliptic PDEs., Irregular Boundries), Parabolic PDEs. Hyperbolic PDEs.
