Course Objectives To provide an understanding of the means of attacking and defeating the main targets presented to land, sea and air forces.
Detail Content The factors affecting ammunition design;The attack on personnel; wound and blast effect on personnel. Small arms and cannon ammunition, High explosive shell and grenade design, Mines (land and sea), their use and make-up. The attack on aircraft; Fragmentation Theory, Fragmentation Warheads. Blast warheads in air and underwater. The attack against armour; armour failure, kinetic energy ammunition & penetrators. Sabot design, Air delivered ordnance design and make-up, aircraft bombs, Pyrotechnic ammunition, Naval Ammunition, Underwater weapons & warheads & Demolition ammunition & warheads.
