Course Objectives In today's ever changing technology environment, it is critical that organizations understand how to identify, acquire and implement new technology applications to sustain competitive advantage. This course attempts to achieve the objectives to; provide course participants with an understanding of a networked enterprise as an ongoing and complex system that is invented, constructed and constantly modified, evaluate the strategic opportunities and threats presented by the convergence of information and business success, examine the managerial, organizational and operational implications of competing in a digital economy and understand the technology infrastructure and key system applications for the digital era.
Detail Content This course covers the following topics: Fundamentals of management information systems, types of information systems and their applications, information for decision support, management of information resources, information systems development, current trends and future developments in information processing and management.
