Course Objectives While natural hazards cannot be prevented, their human impacts can be greatly reduced through advance action that mitigates risks and reduces vulnerability. This course focuses primarily on the understanding of hazards, disasters, vulnerability assessment and the potential uses of GIT for natural disaster management in all the three phases, i.e. pre-disaster, disaster, and post-disaster with examples from globe and particularly Pakistan.
