Course Objectives The objective of this course is to provide fundamental principles and underlying techniques behind today’s emerging variety of wireless communication applications.
Detail Content Introduction to wireless applications and standards; Propagation channel modeling and simulation techniques; Digital modulation techniques for wireless applications; Single Carrier Systems: QPSK, GMSK, 4-QPSK, 16-QAM-Star -Multicarrier Systems: Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) Digital Demodulation Techniques: Receiver architecture, coherent, differential and non-coherent detection techniques and their comparison.

Anti-fading Techniques: Non-pilot aided and Pilot aided techniques for frequency flat fading channels; Equalization techniques for frequency selective fading channels; Diversity techniques. Channel Coding Techniques for Wireless Channels; Multiple Access Techniques; Spread Spectrum Communication.
