Course Objectives The reaction and detonation velocities in the field of detonics are of the order of 2000 – 10,000 m/s. High - speed diagnostic techniques are necessary to obtain information of the detonating events with little motion blur and high resolution. The aim of this course is to teach these state-of-the-art techniques in the field of detonics.
Detail Content High – Speed Photography : Introduction, Radiation Sources, High-Speed shutters, Rotating Mirror Cameras, Framing Cameras, Streak Cameras, Streak Techniques (Velocity Measurement, Arrival Time Measurement, Profile Measurement and Combined Streak Techniques), Image Converter Cameras &Video Cameras. Flash X- Ray Radiography : Equipment, Design of Experiments & Applications. Velocity Interferometer System For Any Reflector(VISAR) Interferometry Principle and application, Fabry- Perot Interferometry: Test Methodology, Piezoelectric Gauges : Pressure Measurement Probes.
