Major Parameters in Combustion of Explosives/Propellants: Combustion wave of Energetic Materials, Thermal Theory of Burning Rate, Flame Standoff Distance, Burning Rate Characteristics, Analysis of Temperature/Pressure Sensitivity of Burning Rate. Energetic of Propellants: Evaluation of Chemical & Thermodynamic Energy, Physicochemical Properties o Crystalline & Polymeric Materials.Formulation of Propellants- Nitropolymer propellants – single, double & triple-base propellants, composite modified double-base propellants. Composite Propellants – AP & AN Composite Propellants, Nitramine & TAGN Composite Propellants Combustion of Crystalline & Polymeric Materials: Crystalline Materials- Ammonium Perchlorate (AP), Ammonium Nitrate (AN), HMX, TAGN. Polymeric Materials - Nitrate Esters, GAP. Parametric Studies of DB, Composites & Others: Burning Rate Characteristics, Combustion Wav Structure, Temperature Sensitivity of Burning Rate, Specific Impulse.
